Boomer’s CF Run to Breathe 10K in Central Park supported life-saving research that’s improving and prolonging the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis, including Gunnar Esiason, son of football hero Boomer Esiason. The morning’s events enabled local runners, such as race winners Tom Papain and Breanne Simpson—who took home Breitling watches!—to get recognition for running fast and gave all participants the opportunity to concentrate on something fun and healthy.
It was a family affair! Parents ran side by side with their kids, motivating one another to reach the finish line near the Central Park Bandshell, where they could celebrate their accomplishment together. It was another hot and humid morning in the city, but from the looks on everyone’s faces, they were enjoying themselves too much to let anything bother them.
