Tickets are on sale now for an exclusive June 27 New York Yankees celebrity softball event that will benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation and its fight against cystic fibrosis.
The first-ever Bombers-Boomer-Broadway Celebrity Softball Game for Charity will be held at Yankee Stadium and will feature two games – a showdown between Broadway all-stars, and a contest pitting Yankees alumni against a team from WFAN Sports Radio. In addition to providing support to BEF, the doubleheader classic will benefit The Actors Fund.
Tickets to this exclusive event are $200 each. The ticket package includes: credentials to attend the all-day event; a New York Yankees cap and a baseball; continental breakfast; ballpark fare luncheon during the games; and a cocktail reception with the celebrity players following the second game.
Attendees of the private event will be invited to enter Yankees Stadium beginning at 10 a.m. After batting practice, Broadway star Aaron Tveit will sing the National Anthem, and longtime Broadway producer Manny Azenberg will throw out the cermonial first pitch. The Broadway all-star game will start at 11 a.m., with the Yankees-WFAN game following at 1 p.m. The cocktail reception will be held around 3 p.m. in the Legends Club.
Boomer Esiason and WFAN co-host Craig Carton will broadcast their show live from Yankees Stadium that morning, and other local media are expected to cover the event.
