For 55 years, Jerry Cahill courageously battled cystic fibrosis while awaiting a life-saving double lung transplant. After a number of “trial runs,” Jerry received a call on April 17, 2012 that a new pair of lungs had become available. On April 18, 2012, Jerry finally received the lungs that have completely changed his life.
In accordance with his “You Cannot Fail” attitude, Jerry participated in Boomer’s Cystic Fibrosis Run to Breathe 10K in Central Park just three months post-transplant.
Now, Jerry shares his life both pre-transplant and post-transplant with you.
