Post-Event Update: Refi Rock ROCKED the Statue of Liberty!

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2011 Refi Rock Spring Fling, and for supporting the Boomer Esiason Foundation. The money raised at this awesome event directly supports the cystic fibrosis community via BEF’s scholarship and transplant grant programs.

The Third Annual Refi Rock Spring Fling – to be held on June 9 at the iconic Statue of Liberty – completely sold out only three days after tickets went on sale.

Refi Rock Spring Fling regularly attracts 1,500 partygoers in the New York City area and is a great way to kick off the summer.  (See video and photos from the 2010 Refi Rock event below.)

Date:  Thursday, June 9, 2011

Location:  Statue of Liberty – Liberty Island

Time:  6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Cost:  $100/person (includes ferry, open bar and food)

Dress Code:  Business Casual

This popular event is hosted by the Boomer Esiason Foundation’s Young Professionals Committee.  Live music will be provided by Yellowman Band and Rubix Kube, which will ROCK Refi Rock for the second year in a row. Rubix Kube is the premiere ’80s tribute band in New York City and the tri-state area. Rubix Kube cranks out pop and rock hit songs from the ’80s and performs them like the originals. The band brings so much charisma and energy that its audiences bust more moves than a rubix cube itself! Like TOTALLY!

In addition to an open bar and great food, the event will feature an exciting raffle, with prizes that include: a trip for two to Las Vegas, including airfare and hotel; a stay at the Waldorf=Astoria; a New York Jets helmet autographed by Boomer Esiason; a New York Giants jersey autographed by Eli Manning and Justin Tuck; a Miami Dolphins jersey autographed by Dan Marino; a New York Rangers jersey autographed by Adam Graves; tickets to a New York Yankees game and a New York Mets game; AMC Theater movie passes; and a three-month membership to Pure Yoga.

Transportation:  Ferry service will be provided by Statue Cruises. The ferry will depart Battery Park for Liberty Island at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The return ferry will depart Liberty Island for Battery Park at 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.  (Take the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green, the 1 or 7 train to South Ferry, or the N/R train Whitehall/South Ferry.)
