"I try to reassure everyone who has been affected by this disease that CF isn't the end of the world if you don't want it to be."
The experience of living with cystic fibrosis is markedly different today than it was decades ago. Thanks to the discovery of the CF gene, the availability of effective drug therapies and advances in technology, the 30,000 Americans who deal with the disease day in and day out are living longer and fuller lives. In a word, they are thriving.

There is a multitude of organizations working to support the cystic fibrosis community, as well as a variety of tools and information available to help people with CF not just live, but thrive.

Help Us Make a Difference in the Cystic Fibrosis Community

Hello Friends,

Each year, the Boomer Esiason Foundation is successful in contributing significantly to advances in cystic fibrosis research and in addressing the pressing needs of the CF community.

This year alone, we provided significant grants to several oustanding hospitals and CF care centers, including Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital and Children's Hospital Boston. We continued to make strides toward our most recent $5 million pledge to support critical research via the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Milestones to a Cure Campaign. And we awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to students with CF to relieve some of the financial burden of college.

In recognition of our achievements over the past year, and in anticipation of the challenges we face in the year to come, I'm asking you to consider making an end-of-year donation to the Foundation.

It's really easy to donate online – simply click here to visit the donations page on our website. That page also tells you how to donate by mail or over the phone.

We strive to be good stewards of each contribution we receive, large or small. In fact, Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of U.S. charities, recently awarded us its highest rating, recognizing our outstanding fiscal responsibility. I pledge that your donation will be put to good use.

Thanks in advance for your consideration. And on behalf of my family and the Foundation staff, please accept my gratitude for your continued support.

With warm wishes for the holiday season,

p.s. Later this month, you'll hear from my daughter, Sydney, about what what it means to be a CF sibling, and how the Boomer Esiason Foundation is making a difference for all families living with CF.
