New CF Wind Sprint Looks at Transitioning from College to the Career World

03/05/2012

The Boomer Esiason Foundation has released Episode 24 of the CF Wind Sprint series, which examines transitioning from college to the career world with cystic fibrosis. It is the third in a three-part series on the major transitioning stages for people with CF.

In this episode, we meet Gabriella. For Gabriella, transitioning from college to the career world was similar to her earlier move to college, particularly regarding the need for a disciplined compliance schedule.

One of Gabriella's biggest concerns about having a full-time job was how to deal with getting sick. Her fears were realized twice, but she found herself more than pleasantly surprised by the support of her co-workers.

The three CF Wind Sprints on transitioning were made possible by a grant from Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

BEF invites the CF community to submit questions and topics for future CF Wind Sprints via its Facebook fan page or on Twitter.
