John F. Cassidy

John F. (Jack) Cassidy is President and Chief Operating Officer of Cincinnati Bell. He is responsible for developing and executing the company's strategic and operational plans in accordance with Broadwing's directives and charters. Mr. Cassidy reports directly to Kevin Mooney, Chief Operating Officer of Broadwing Inc.
Previously, Mr. Cassidy served as president of Cincinnati Bell Enterprises where he was responsible for the nation's fastest long-distance market share gain, acquiring 51 percent of Greater Cincinnati's long distance business in only six months. As president of Cincinnati Bell Wireless, he led the nation's most successful PCS launch and later, the nation's most successful prepaid PCS launch, branded i-wireless. It was under Mr. Cassidy's watch that Cincinnati Bell won two national customer satisfaction awards for best long distance and local wireline service, an unprecedented achievement in the industry.
Prior to launching Cincinnati Bell Wireless, Mr. Cassidy served as vice president of sales for Cantel, Canada's largest cellular provider. He joined Cantel after holding the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Ericsson Communication's mobile handset business where he was responsible for the brand's introduction in North America. Mr. Cassidy was formerly vice president of sales and marketing for the General Electric cellular phone business.
After attending Cleveland State University's Management and Labor Relations program, Mr. Cassidy also served in executive-level positions in labor relations and human resources for TransOhio Savings Bank and the Cleveland Press.
Beyond his work in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Cassidy also is an active member of the community. Mr. Cassidy serves as a board member of Greater Cincinnati's Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Ohio, Boomer Esiason Foundation and the Southwest Ohio March of Dimes. Mr. Cassidy won PCIA's 1999 distinguished corporate citizen award for charitable work.
